EU ‘well on track’ to meet Kyoto target

Brussels, 12 November: The EU is on track to meet its Kyoto Protocol target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to the European Commission’s annual emissions report. However, some countries will have to introduce extra measures to those already foreseen, and most likely spend more money, if they are to meet their national goals.
